Bienvenue !
The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding organisation of India, dedicated to the holistic development of young people. Formed in 1950 through the amalgamation of various Scout and Guide groups, BSG is recognised internationally by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
BSG aims to nurture responsible citizens and leaders through non-formal education based on the Scout/Guide Promise and Law. Its programs focus on character development, leadership, community service, environmental stewardship, and national integration. The organisation follows the motto “Be Prepared” and instils in its members the spirit of duty to self, others, and the nation.
Headquartered in New Delhi, BSG operates through State Associations and District Units in every state and union territory, with a presence in thousands of schools and institutions. As per the latest census, BSG has over 6.8 million members, making it one of the largest youth movements in the country.
BSG serves diverse communities across India, promoting unity in diversity and engaging youth through camps, service projects, national events, and international exchanges, contributing significantly to nation-building and global citizenship.
