The Asia Pacific Region of WAGGGS is inviting passionate and committed volunteers to join our Regional Sub-Committees to help deliver the Asia Pacific Regional Action Plan (2026–2028).
As part of the Asia Pacific Regional Team, you will work alongside Regional Committee members, WAGGGS staff, and fellow volunteers to create meaningful impact for girls and young women across the region.

Active members of a WAGGGS Member Organisation
18 years old or above
Able to communicate in English
Comfortable using online collaboration tools
Motivated to contribute time and energy to the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement
Interested in learning, growing, and contributing as part of a regional team

About the volunteer teams
Asia Pacific Regional Committee members hold different portfolios, each contributing to the delivery of the Regional Action Plan (2026–2028).
Volunteer teams will work closely with these portfolio holders and WAGGGS staff. Each team will have one or two Lead Volunteers who guide the work and report progress to the portfolio holder.
What does this mean for you?
You will be part of a team working on specific areas of the Action Plan.
You will report your work to your Lead Volunteer.
Lead Volunteers will have extra responsibilities, including coordination and communication with the Committee and WAGGGS staff.
Time commitment
Time commitment for each roles varies. Expect to spend around 15 hours per month in average
Lead Volunteers may need to dedicate additional time
Duration
Most of the roles run for the full triennium: January 2026 – December 2028 with some short-term roles.
About the roles
Lead Volunteers
Work closely with the portfolio holder and relevant staff to plan and deliver work
Coordinate and motivate the volunteer team
Support individual team members and hold regular check-ins
Join quarterly coordination meetings with other Lead Volunteers
Working Group Team Members
Contribute to specific areas of the Regional Action Plan
Work under the guidance of a Lead Volunteer
Tasks and time commitment may vary during the triennium

Contact your International Commissioner or International Team for endorsement (depending on the internal process in your Member Organisation).

Step 2: Apply for Asia Pacific roles via Campfire
Once approved:
You will receive access to Campfire, WAGGGS’ online collaboration platform

Selection process
Applications will be reviewed by the Asia Pacific Regional Committee
Selection is based on skills, motivation, and alignment with regional needs
Asia Pacific Regional Committee will interview you for the role
We aim to communicate outcomes within two weeks of each call closing
