Opening Ceremony
The Conference Planning Team invited each Head Delegate to propose someone from their delegation to join the Opening Ceremony as a flag bearer. Your flag bearer will receive an instruction pack via e-mail. If you have any further questions in relation to this role, please contact the Cyprus Host Team at [email protected]
Livestream of Opening Ceremony
Do tell your Member Organisations back home to join in as we give you live coverage of the Opening Ceremony in Kourion Ancient Amphiteatre on the Cyprus Facebook Page and Campfire. This service is offered by ANTENNA TV Cyprus.

OB-PS Reception
Remember to RSVP to the Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) invitation for one representative from each Member Organisation to attend an evening reception in the beautiful gardens of Metochi Kykkou. Call for Amendments to non-Constitutional Motions
Final reminder, if you would like to propose an amendment to the non-Constitutional Motions please complete the Proposed Amendment Form and return it by email to [email protected] by 20:00 (EEST) on Thursday 27 July 2023.
Travel Information
Please note it is mandatory to inform us of your travel details so we can prepare for your arrival. You can do this by completing the Travel Information Form which each registered person will have been sent by email. The form is in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Each person in your delegation must complete a form. If you do not do so by 16 July 2023 - we cannot confirm bus transfers when you arrive. World Conference Electronic Pigeon Holes
The Campfire pigeon holes allow conference participants to connect with other Member Organisation delegations via the head delegates.
- You can access the pigeon holes from the World Conference Participants Space.
- Simply log into Campfire, click on Spaces on the main menu, choose 38th WAGGGS World Conference, and select Participant’s Space.
- Scroll down to the Connect with Others section and click on the World Conference Pigeon Holes link.
- The countries are arranged by Region. Simply click on the country that you wish to connect with and the create private message screen will display with the head delegate for the country listed. Add your message and click send.
- Head delegates don’t forget to check your messages on Campfire via the envelope on the top right of the screen.
Bids for the 39th World Conference
We are excited to share that you can now find the three bidding country proposals from Cambodia, Ghana and Tunisia on Campfire! The bid proposals have been separated into different sections, so it is easier to find specific information in the proposals.
You will also be able to reach out to the bidding countries directly via the Campfire pages, so you can ask them any questions before the World Conference. You can find the link to the bidding proposal pages here.
Get Ready for Governance Programme Youth Pre-Event
The count-down is on! All youth under 30 who have confirmed their attendance to the Get Ready for Governance Youth Pre-event via the travel information survey or email; will receive a communication this week providing you with a final logistics update. This will include details about accommodation for the night of the 24th of July and transfers to Nicosia for those who have requested it. Keep an eye on your inbox!
