Thank you to the Member Organisations who have already submitted a nomination for the World Board. We greatly appreciate the time, care, and commitment shown in putting forward candidates for this important leadership role
As highlighted in the Nominations Pack, the January 2026 online information session, and the draft Rules of Procedure, the World Board has carefully considered its needs for the upcoming Triennium. For the 2026 World Board elections, the Board recommends that two positions be directly elected based on defined areas of expertise:
- Financial management, accounting, and risk management
- Resource mobilisation (fund development/income generation)
We have received a strong range of nominations overall. To ensure the Board is fully equipped to meet its strategic and fiduciary responsibilities and key priorities, we would now like to encourage additional nominations for candidates with professional-level expertise in resource mobilisation, fund development, or income generation.
For clarity, this includes nominees who, through their professional careers or senior voluntary roles, have experience such as:
- Leading or overseeing fundraising strategies or income generation
- Working with major donors, foundations, institutional funders, or corporate partnerships
- Managing or governing funding portfolios at organisational or strategic level
- Providing senior oversight of resource mobilisation in NGOs, foundations, international organisations, or comparable sectors
To allow Member Organisations additional time to identify and nominate individuals with this background, the nominations deadline has been extended to 23:59 (UTC) on Tuesday 24 February 2026. This extension applies specifically to nominees with professional-level expertise in resource mobilisation/fund development/income generation.
Our Movement is rich in talent, diversity, and professional expertise. We encourage Member Organisations to look widely and consider individuals who could bring strong strategic insight, sound judgement, and expertise in resource mobilisation to the World Board. Together, we can ensure the next Board is equipped to drive and support the sustainability of our global Movement.
