The Hasanah Micro Grant invites proposals aligned with the Yayasan Hasanah’s mission and at least one of its five impact areas: Education, Community Development, Environment, Arts & Public Spaces, and Knowledge. The grant prioritises community-led, locally grounded initiatives that are practical, creative, and ready to make a difference. Supported initiatives include:
- Capacity Building – Mentorship, training, or pilot projects that strengthen civil society organisations or community groups, enhance local knowledge, or improve implementation capacity, including research and evidence-informed community studies.
- Test and Pilot Innovations – New or untested ideas that creatively address social, environmental, or community challenges, encouraging experimentation, small-scale implementation, and learning for future scaling.
- Reach Diverse Target Groups – Projects that engage underrepresented, marginalised, or hard-to-reach communities, promoting equitable access to opportunities, resources, and knowledge, and fostering collaboration through shared learning.
- Responding to Emerging Needs – Rapid and flexible projects that address sudden or evolving community challenges, helping communities respond swiftly and fill urgent gaps with practical solutions.
