Newly Launched at the World Conference: Growing and Learning Part 1 – Policies, Concepts and Case Studies

We are excited to share the revised version of Growing and Learning Part 1, launched at the 39th World Conference in Cambodia.

The original Growing and Learning Part 1 resource now includes a collection of case studies from across the Movement, complementing the existing policies and concepts with practical examples, experiences, and approaches to implementation in different contexts.

Over 20 Member Organizations from across WAGGGS’s Regions shared examples, stories, and reflections on how they are already supporting learning and development across the Movement. These real experiences have shaped the case studies featured throughout this resource.

What’s Inside?

  • Policies and Concepts – initial guiding principles and learning approaches from Growing and Learning Part One for learning and development across the Movement
  • Growing and Learning in Practice – longer feature examples exploring how a concept has been intentionally strengthened within a programme, initiative, system, or organisational practice
  • Learning Snapshots– illustrative examples highlighting a specific activity, experience, tool, method, or approach connected to a concept
  • “What This Looks Like” Section – practical implementation examples showing how a concept appears in practice, including facilitation approaches, participation structures, safeguarding practices, leadership methods, and learning environments
  • Reflection Points – short reflective questions that encourage readers to connect concepts, examples, and case studies to their own context and practice

As you move through the document, these stories and examples are intended to help connect Growing and Learning concepts to lived realities across the world.

As we continue supporting implementation and learning across the Movement, we welcome your reflections, questions, and experiences. If you would like to share feedback or connect with the team, please contact the GAL Hub at [email protected].

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping shape the future of Growing and Learning.
