The partnership, starting from 2024 involves a one-year pilot programme with three WAGGGS Member Organisations in the Asia Pacific Region – the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, Girl Guides Singapore, and Girl Scouts of Taiwan.

The programme trains Girl Guide and Girl Scout leaders from the three Member Organisations to deliver an immersive experience using the Siemens Energy's "Planet Rescuers" game on Minecraft Education, developed by Possible Lab. This game serves as an interactive learning tool where young girls and women explore the intricacies of renewable energy and sustainable practices in a virtual world.

In addition to the game, participants will engage in offline activities using WAGGGS' non-formal education methodology, fostering deeper reflection and understanding of the issues they encounter in the game. These reflection tools will guide around 420 girls aged 8-18 through the complexities of sustainability, concluding with a "Pledge to the Future" as they take meaningful action towards creating a greener world.

Today’s energy transformation hinges on innovation. It’s not just about meeting rising demand; it’s about ensuring a sustainable future. Let us empower women to seize the job opportunities that will shape this new era.
