Campfire Community Guidelines

Welcome to Campfire, the digital home of WAGGGS that supports a thriving, united and growing Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement. It is a place to learn, connect, share and collaborate. To help sustain a safe and brave space for members to interact in a friendly and respectful manner, Campfire community members must adhere to the following guidelines:

We encourage:

  • Communicating in a respectful, friendly and non-judgemental manner
  • Writing in accessible terms that can be easily understood by everyone
  • Respecting different perspectives and experiences, and addressing conflicts or disagreements constructively and privately
  • Only sharing information, you are comfortable with making public.
  • Respecting the privacy and confidentiality by not sharing other community member’s personal information, posts, messages or content without their clear consent.
  • Giving credit to the original authors when sharing content or information that is not your own.
  • Following the WAGGGS Safeguarding Policy.  
  • Reporting any inappropriate, suspicious or malicious behaviour or content to [email protected].  

We discourage:

  • Sharing your Campfire account details with anyone as you are responsible for anything that is posted or created using your account.     
  • Posting of spam, advertisements, and other irrelevant content.

WAGGGS has zero tolerance for:

  • Engaging in or promoting harassment and bullying.
  • Engaging in or promoting illegal activities
  • Using discriminatory language and hate speech or making personal attacks

Moderation:

Community managers may take actions including issuing warnings, removal of posts and messages from the platform, temporary suspensions or permanent removal from the Campfire platform as a result of inappropriate behaviour including the posting of inappropriate content.
