Subject: Invitation to Engage in the “Understanding our Movement” Youth Consultation 2025
I am writing to share with you an important opportunity for your Member Organisation to contribute to the development of a Theory of Change for WAGGGS. This will help us better explain how Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting contributes to our shared Compass 2032 vision: “An equal world where all girls can thrive.”
As part of this work, WAGGGS launched a Youth Consultation to ensure that the voices of young people remain at the heart of what is developed. The consultation, open to members aged 5–30, will run until 6 October 2025.
We would be grateful for your support in engaging your members in this consultation. There are two key ways for young people to participate:
- Online survey for youth members: Each young person completes the online survey on their own.
- Consultation pack for units/troops: Unit/troop leaders are invited to use the Consultation Pack with their groups and then share the group’s feedback online with us.
We kindly request your assistance in:
- Promoting the online survey to your youth members
- Encouraging unit/troop leaders to run the Consultation Pack activities with their groups
All participants will receive a certificate of participation in recognition of their contribution.
Alongside the Youth Consultation, WAGGGS will conduct desk research to review data from MO consultations and surveys in recent years, and engage representatives from our diverse Movement in focus groups, to feed into this work.
