Smart Surfers at UNCSC 2024 Kenya
The United Nations Civil Society Conference is an international forum, that is the premier event in the civil society calendar at the United Nations to provide preliminary discussions and data ahead of the Summit of the Future in September 2024 at the UN Headquarters in New York.
World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts was represented at UNCSC by two Smart Surfers from Uganda Girl Guides Association Ms. Akatukunda Ronah and Ms. Sophia Nabbaale.. Their advocacy messages called on the world leaders to meaningfully create international laws and policies to ensure girls and young women are connected positively and safely online and to imagine a better internet for sustainable growth.
