Surf Smart & Advocacy
for Generation Digital
Surf Smart 2.0 Generation Digital is a non-formal education curriculum to support young people to connect safely and positively online. It is a unique resource which will ensure a generation of girls and young women have the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others online.
Participants will explore how they can use the internet as a member of Generation Digital; not only to communicate, learn and have fun but also to raise their voices as responsible citizens of the world.
Advocacy for Generation Digital (A4GD) is the advocacy component of Surt Smart, which equips young leaders to advocate for safer, more inclusive, and rights-based digital spaces in their communities and beyond.
The curriculum guides groups through a structured advocacy journey, helping them identify digital challenges that matter to them, explore root causes, understand who holds power, and plan and deliver meaningful advocacy projects.

Surf Smart 2.0
The Surf Smart programme aims to raise a generation of internet-savvy children and young people who can use the internet to make a positive difference in the world also to equip a generation of children and young people to lead change, speak out and take action to create a safer, and more inclusive internet for everyone.
The new curriculum includes activities on mental and emotional wellbeing in the digital space, helping participants explore how technology affects emotions, relationships and self-image and how to protect their wellbeing while staying connected online.
Advocacy for Generation Digital (A4GD)
Advocacy for Generation Digital supports young people to understand these challenges and develop the skills to challenge them. Through non-formal education, participants explore digital rights, participation and leadership, while learning how to engage with decision-makers and use advocacy as a tool for positive change.
