One Movement for Every Girl (WAGGGS Centenary Song)

Be part of something truly global! Add your voice to the WAGGGS Centenary song, One Movement for Every Girl, and help us create a powerful, worldwide choir that celebrates 100 years of WAGGGS. Record yourself singing, and together we’ll transform every voice into one unforgettable choral performance to be launched at the 39th WAGGGS World Conference in Cambodia from 15 to 19 June 2026.

Before you start, you need to give us consent to use your files. If you are under 18 years old, your parent/guardian will need to complete the permission form for you. Please fill out the form and then start recording your audio!

All audio must be sent to us by 22 May 2026 to ensure it is included in the song production.

What you need:

2 devices - one to play and one to record.
Headphones or earbuds that connect the device you will be playing the audio on.
The One Movement for Every Girl GUIDE TRACK.
- Please do not share this file, it is ONLY for use as a Guide Track to make the song.
- In the Guide Track, there is the melody, but also a harmony. If you’re not comfortable singing the harmony, you can stick with the melody.
- If you speak more than one WAGGGS language, you can submit multiple recordings.

Background setup:

We are making an audio recording of what you are sending to us, so it is important that we have a clean, crisp sound.
Turn off all objects that can create noise, such as fans, air conditioners, radios, televisions, video games, and ringers on your phone.
Close any windows and/or doors to keep the space as quiet as possible.

Audio setup and recording:

Ensure the Guide Track is loaded onto one of your devices and that it plays.
Plug in or connect your headphones or earbuds.
Have the lyrics where you can see them.
Press record on your second device and have the microphone close to you.
Press play on the guide track.
Sing into the microphone.
Once the guide track has finished, press stop on your recording.
Save your recording.

Do you sound as clear and precise as you possibly can?
Do you only hear the sound of your voice?
If you answered NO to any of the above questions, please try your recordings again until you are able to answer YES to all of the questions!

Upload and Send to us:

If you answered YES to all of the above questions, it’s time to fill out the permission form (if you haven't already) and upload your file to us!
- Upload your audio to your own google drive, dropbox or wetransfer. Send the link to [email protected]
  - If google drive, dropbox or wetransfer doesn’t work for you, download using whichever file sharing service works for you and send us the link.
  - Please make sure you give us access to download your files!

You will receive an email confirmation when we are able to download, check your consent form and save your files to our system.
