Helen Storrow Seminar

The Helen Storrow Seminar (HSS) is a unique opportunity for leadership development at Our Chalet in Switzerland. The HSS always has a focus on environmental sustainability and the event will take place from 12 to 19 March 2024.

Participants will build their knowledge, develop new skills, and gain experiences, giving them a refreshed focus and confidence to lead sustainable change. All participants will return home with a new global support network and a concrete plan for an exciting environmental action project.

Volunteer Roles are expected to start in October 2023 and finish in March 2024 (6 months total). This role includes travel to Our Chalet, and you must be available to travel to Switzerland for the event.
Juliette Low Seminar

The Juliette Low Seminar (JLS) is WAGGGS’ flagship leadership development experience for members of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting aged between 18-30. The theme for JLS 2024 is peace and will be held 29 September to 5 October 2024.

Participants will start their JLS experience with pre-learning, join an event at our World Centres and Campfire then continue their experience for 6 months while they plan and complete their 100 Girls Project.
- Lead roles are expected to start in November 2023 and finish in April 2025 (18 months total). Team members are expected to start in January 2024 and finish in April 2025 (16 months total). Please note: not all volunteer roles will be travelling. If appointed, you will receive a full role description before signing your volunteer agreement.
To support these young women on their leadership journey, we need YOU on the HSS or JLS volunteer team!
