Registrations for the 39th World Conference are open and as we prepare to come together in June, there’s lots happening across the Movement. Over the coming weeks, several important deadlines are coming up, alongside new opportunities, resources and events.
To help you plan ahead, we’ve outlined the key deadlines below. February deadlines include World Board nominations, proposed motions and amendments, feedback on the Membership Fee implementation review. March deadlines include nominations for the Olave Awards 2024–2026 and the WAGGGS Medal of Service. Visit the World Conference Calendar to stay up to date.
You’ll also find updates on World Conference participation, our newly released Surf Smart resources, and upcoming events from across WAGGGS.
There’s just one week left to submit your membership figures and complete the 2026 Census, which helps us plan effectively and represent our Movement accurately. Please complete by Friday 13 February 2026. Share this update within your network so everyone stays informed and has the opportunity to get involved.

Join the 39th World Conference International Service Team
The World Conference is made possible by volunteers from across our global Movement, we’re now inviting applications for the International Service Team (IST). This team will help us deliver the 39th World Conference and the Get Ready for World Conference pre-event!
The IST supports with event logistics, provide tech support and has the crucial role of making attendees feel welcome. Successful applicants will be part of a global and local team of volunteers and have the opportunity to travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia for the conference! Apply by 15 March 2026, 23:59 UTC.
Call for 39th World Conference Listening Ears (LE) Team 
Creating a safe and supportive environment is a shared responsibility across our Movement. We are seeking a team of volunteers to provide a welcoming, confidential and non-judgmental environment for anyone proactively seeking help for themselves or others, during the 39th World Conference as part of the Listening Ears team.
The team will support participants, volunteers or staff members who face a risk of harm or experiences discomfort during Conference.
Appointed volunteers will have the opportunity to be part of a global team of volunteers and travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia for the conference! Apply by 15 March 2026, 23:59 UTC.
World Conference Registrations – Early bird discount and Grants deadline
Registration for the 39th World Conference is open and available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Early bird discounts and grants applications close on 16 February, so make sure to register early! General registration close on 16 March 2026.

16–17 Year Old Participation Pilot
This year we are inviting up to five Member Organisations to include a young person aged 16-17 in their delegation for the World Conference. This pilot reflects our shared commitment to youth participation and creating spaces where young voices are part of global decision-making.
