Thanks to the support of unrestricted funds, World Centre Nuestra Cabaña was able to promote implement its innovative programme, Her Roots, Her Future.
The programme was introduced as a forward-looking approach to Guiding, sparking conversations about sustainability and climate action through STEAM learning. It explores how leadership in Guiding can connect science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics with real-world community impact, while supporting progress towards gender equality.
All three age groups took part in activities focused on STEAM and sustainability. Adult participants, in particular, enjoyed a creative session where they imagined and designed sustainable, interactive gardens as learning spaces. These designs encouraged hands-on engagement with science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths in ways that are accessible and inspiring.
Participants were invited to bring their troops and districts to Nuestra Cabaña to experience an extended version of the programme and to explore how Guiding can continue to grow its impact in STEAM areas as a global movement. Thanks to donors like you, innovative programmes such as Her Roots, Her Future are helping shape the future of Guiding and empower girls and young women worldwide.
