The Western Hemisphere Region of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is inviting passionate, committed volunteers to support the delivery of regional priorities and strengthen our impact across Member Organisations. We are seeking individuals with diverse skills, experience, and perspectives to contribute to a dynamic, collaborative, and purpose-driven volunteer team.
 

About the Opportunity

As a regional volunteer, you will work alongside the Regional Committee, WAGGGS staff, and fellow volunteers to support programmes, initiatives, and engagement across the Western Hemisphere. These roles are central to advancing WAGGGS’ mission enabling girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.

Volunteer Roles

  • Language Coordinator– Responsible for language support for meetings, webinars, and events (see details about the role in the attached document).
  • Webinar Support Assistants – support the planning and delivery of virtual sessions and online events.
  • Small Group Facilitators – Lead breakout discussions and support inclusive participation. 
  • Communications Volunteers – Support content creation and engagement.
  • Technical Support Volunteers – Provide IT and digital platform support.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you are:

  • An active member of a WAGGGS Member Organisation
  • Aged 18 years and above
  • Able to communicate in English (additional languages are an asset)
  • Confident using digital tools
  • Passionate about contributing to the global movement
  • Interested in developing your leadership skills

Time Commitment & Duration

Approximately 5–10 hours per month. Opportunities may be short-term or ongoing depending on the role.
