🤩 Become a Nuestra Cabaña volunteer!
We are currently seeking volunteers for the Spring 2027 season. However, if you are interested in volunteering during a different season, you are welcome to apply in advance. Don't miss this chance to experience international sisterhood while supporting the place where dreams come true! As a volunteer at Nuestra Cabaña, you will receive meals, accommodation and access to programme activities. Travel scholarships are available for suitable candidates.

70th Anniversary of Nuestra Cabaña! Celebrate the 70th birthday of Nuestra Cabaña with a unique and magical experience at Fireflies Forest. During this event, we will visit the state of Tlaxcala to discover an endemic species of firefly that lights up a dense forest — and our inner light! To top off the experience, we will enjoy a celebration of 70 years of making dreams come true — a real Mexican fiesta!
- 101 years of World Thinking Day! In 2027, we will celebrate Our People during World Thinking Day. This event is particularly magical at Nuestra Cabaña; places for this event fill up quickly due to its popularity amongst Guías de México. With capacity for over 100 Guides and Scouts, the beautiful Cuernavaca will be filled with people eager to spend an unforgettable couple of days together. During the week-long event, we will have the opportunity to visit one of the Monarch butterfly sanctuaries and witness the incredible wisdom of Mother Nature.

☘️ Our Chalet Scholarships:
For certain events, we have two types of scholarships available:
- For girls and young women (up to age 30) who are active members of Guiding/Scouting and can demonstrate benefit in attending this event, we have event scholarships available, which can be used to cover all or part of the event fee and all or part of your travel costs. Applicants must be willing and able to participate in all programme activities. Applicants under 18 are welcome, but must attend the event with at least one adult age 18+.
- For women aged 60+ with at least 20 years participation in Guiding/Scouting, we have Cheryl Watkins scholarships available. These scholarships cover full event fee and assistance with travel may be available, depending on financial need. If you have previously received a Cheryl Watkins scholarship for accommodation only, you can apply to cover the programme and meal costs of this event, and for travel assistance if needed.

- Our Chalet Volunteer Leadership Development Programme:
Winter season 9 Dec 2026 – 5 March 2027. Applications will open 1st – 31st of July 2026. Interviews to commence in August 2026.

Sangam delivers two types of events, Leadership Events and Cultural Events:
- Leadership events are designed to empower participants to consciously practise and develop their leadership skills, enabling them to actively engage as global citizens.
- Cultural events take various forms, such as wellness, adventure and celebration events.

☘️ Apply for an Event Scholarship
Scholarships are occasionally available to young women aged 18–30, allowing them to attend an event in Sangam. The scholarship covers either full or partial event fees.
- Scholarships are still available for SPARK, SHINE & SHARE I, which will take place from 16 – 22 September 2026.

🤩 Become a Volunteer:
The Volunteer Leadership Programme is open to young people aged 18 to 30.
This programme provides them with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the World Centre by contributing to the delivery of our events, while developing their leadership and other skills.

Join the Community Programme:
The community programme is open to all and offers participants a unique, hands-on experience within the local community.
Participants on the community programme spend between 6 or 10 weeks at Sangam. During their placement, they work 4 days a week with one of our community partners made up of various NGOs. On the other days, they fully immerse themselves in the culture and Guiding/Scouting activities organised by Sangam.
