WAGGGS World Conference is an invaluable, gathering for all members of the organization. This World Conference provides a unique opportunity for participants from all continents to share experiences, contribute ideas, and collaborate in order to reach a common goal toward Compass 2032. Hosting such a prestigious international event in Cambodia has been a long-time aspiration of GGAC. We are confident that this World Conference will elevate the profile of our MO on the world stage, showcasing our commitment to excellence and strengthen the credibility of our esteemed GGAC Member Organization.
This is a great opportunity to inspire and motivate our Cambodian young girls and women to join the world stage in the future. More importantly we want to host the next World Conference to offer our young and talented members a chance to learn and gain international experience. This will help them build a strong foundation, a sense of inclusivity, resilience and confidence to unlock their potential in terms of leadership and communications skills.
We are confident that this World Conference will bring opportunity for GGAC to continue its development and equip its members with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the future.
The breath-taking natural beauty and rich Khmer culture that filled our nation is a true wonder to behold. The ancient temples and monuments of Angkor Wat, decorated with intricate carvings on every wall, offer delegates a glimpse into a world of ancient time. We are certain that this awe-inspiring backdrop will provide a perfect setting for hosting this event.
In terms of safety, Cambodia has recently played host to hundreds of high-level international and national delegates during the 2022 ASEAN Summit, which was organized in part by our very own MO. Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games in May-June 2023. The event is expected to attract over 11,000 athletes competing for medals.
These events will undoubtedly be a testament to Cambodia’s proficiency in organizing large-scale while ensuring the safety and security of all involved. With this recent experiences, we believe that Cambodia is the ideal host country for the 39th World Conference.
Cambodia has made a significant transformation in term of socio-economic development in the past decades and we are proud to showcase our transformation to the world.
