Over the past three years, the Arab Region has been on a journey—one rooted in the belief that young women deserve not just to be included, but to truly belong, lead, and shape the future of our movement. And while we’re still growing and learning, we’re proud of how far we’ve come.
At the center of this journey was the Arab Young Women’s Subcommittee—a team of passionate young volunteers who met regularly, shared ideas, and stayed committed to giving back. We didn’t always have the loudest voices or the biggest platforms, but we were there. We showed up. And through everything, we worked to bring the values of the movement to life, doing our part to make youth participation more real and more meaningful in our region.
One of our most special achievements was organizing the 3rd Arab Regional Rovers Camp. It wasn’t just another event—it was a moment where we could lead, create, and connect. Being part of the team that brought that camp to life was both a responsibility and a gift. We watched young people grow, challenge themselves, and build friendships that, honestly, felt like family.
And it wasn’t just the camp. From virtual meetings to workshops and events, we were there—supporting one another, doing our best, and proudly representing the Arab Region and WAGGGS wherever we could. We didn’t always have the answers, and some days were harder than others, but the connections we made, the memories we created, and the quiet pride we felt after every meeting reminded us why this work matters.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about programs or policies. It’s about people. It’s about young women who believe in each other, who lift each other up, and who carry the spirit of Guiding in everything they do.
And that’s what meaningful youth participation looks like here in the Arab Region—it’s still evolving, but it’s alive, it’s growing, and it’s full of heart.
