Membership Structure

The membership of the Association of Georgian Girl Scouts "Dia" consists of both youth and adult members, organised within a hierarchical structure:


1. Youth Members (Girl Scouts)

Girls and young women are the core members of the Association and are organised into age-based groups:
•    Baias (youngest age group -  6-7-year-old age)
•    Ladybirds (Tchiamaias -  8-10-year-old age)
•    Fireflies (Tsitsinatelas -  11-13-year-old age)
•    Dias (senior girls and young women - 14-30-year-old age   )
 

2. Adult Members

Adult membership includes:
•    Leaders (Troop Leaders)
•    Assistant Leaders (Troop helpers)
 

3. Volunteers

•    Troop Helpers (occasional, non-registered supporters who assist activities)
 

4. Governance and Structural Membership Levels

Members are organised and represented through the following structure:\

  • National Level:
    • National Conference
    • National Board, consisting of: Chief Commissioner, International Commissioner, Program Commissioner, Training Commissioner, Development Commissioner, Financial Commissioner, and Public Relations Commissioner
    • Auditing Committee
  • Regional Level:
    • Regional Commissioners
    • Regional Committees and Teams
  • District Level:
    • District Commissioners
    • District Teams
  • Troop Level:
    • Troops led by Leaders and supported by Assistant Leaders

This structure ensures participation, governance, and program delivery across all levels of the Association.
