Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s India Fund seeks to catalyze community-centered development and systemic change by funding local Indian NGOs working with vulnerable communities.

 

They are looking to fund organisations who are:

  • working with communities to develop their ideas;
  • improving the overall wellbeing of communities in the long-term – not just short-term improvements;
  • developing links between their own work and those of the panchayats (in rural areas) and the municipalities (in urban areas);
  • aware of and mitigating their environmental impact and seeking to improve the ecology of the area they’re based; and
  • working to promote gender equality and support people of all genders to make change.

 

Geographies: India.

 

Who can apply: Local Indian NGOs with FCRA registration.

 

Funding amount: ₹10,00,000 to ₹40,00,000.

 

Focus areas: community-led development, systemic change, local governance linkages, gender equality, local ecology.

 

Deadline: Rolling; assessed biannually in March and October.
