Dear FBM/ABC MOs,
Time flies, we're done with the 3rd quarter of 2024! we hope you all are doing well and are all taking care of your health and well-being especially those who are facing difficult circumstances.
It is incredible to think that over 1 million young people have been reached through FBM and ABC last year (total direct and indirect lives reach). We are now in the middle of Phase III of the programme and are on track with our targets until 2026 despite limited human and financial resources. All the credit goes to you, who continue to deliver this life-changing programme to our girls and young people globally.
Quarter 1 updates:
In the first quarter of 2024, we opened the application for the FBM Grant and as always, we are excited to see all the projects that have already started. Please remember to share your stories and take action projects as well as photos and videos of your activities.
Quarter 2 updates:
In the second quarter of this year, we had an expert facilitators training that took place in the Africa Region, hosted by Kusafiri World Centre in Ghana, where 15 participants from the African Region completed their training as expert facilitators in FBM and ABC. (please click on the link to see images of the training in Ghana) Also attached to this letter is a fun video taken of all the expert facilitators at Kusafiri.
We also had an additional training that took place in the Arab Region, hosted by the Kuwait Girl Guides Association. Over 20 applicants from the Arab Region participated and completed their training as expert facilitators in FBM, ABC, and Surf Smart.
Quarter 3 updates:
We are excited to announce that FBM has been selected as a Big Impact Award Nominee! The awards ceremony was hosted on the 20th of September. (stay tuned in for the results on social media and our next newsletter)
