Strengthening Learning Across the Movement
The Growing and Learning initiative is a global effort to strengthen the way Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting delivers learning and development for both youth members and adult volunteers.
Developed in consultation with more than 90 Member Organisations worldwide, it brings together the best of our Movement’s experience and research to define what high-quality Guiding and Scouting looks like, and how we can ensure every girl benefits from it.
With your help, we can:
- Develop tools and resources that support Member Organisations to deliver meaningful learning experiences.
- Strengthen leadership and learning pathways for girls and volunteers.
- Support organisations to grow, adapt, and reach new communities.
- Build a Movement where every girl, no matter where in the world she is, has the opportunity to learn, lead, and thrive.

When you give, you are not just supporting today’s members; you are helping shape the experiences of every girl, young woman, and adult who will come after them.
⭐ £5,000 could support a global workshop bringing together Member Organisations to share ideas and shape the future of learning in the Movement. By connecting volunteers, youth leaders, and experts from different countries, we can strengthen programmes that empower girls everywhere.
⭐ £1,000 could fund the development of new learning resources for Member Organisations — supporting volunteers and leaders around the world to deliver engaging, high-quality Guiding and Scouting experiences. These resources help girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and take action in their communities.
⭐ £250 could help train volunteers in new learning approaches — equipping them with the tools, confidence, and skills they need to support girls’ development. When volunteers feel prepared and inspired, girls benefit from richer, more meaningful experiences.
⭐ £100 could contribute to the creation and translation of digital learning tools — making guidance, activities, and leadership resources accessible to Member Organisations across different languages and contexts.
Any funds raised beyond the £70,000 target will be directed towards WAGGGS initiatives that empower and support girls and young women in guiding worldwide.
