Introduction
As we move further into 2026, I am delighted to share this update on the work, ambition, and progress of our global OB-PS community. These past months have marked an important moment for us, one where we continue to reaffirm our commitment to championing girls’ and young women’s leadership while strengthening the foundations that ensure our Movement thrives for generations to come.
This newsletter brings you key updates on our new OB-PS Strategic Plan 2026–2029, an exciting look ahead to Light the Future Fundraiser in Cambodia raising money for the Growing and Learning Programme, and the growing momentum behind Project 100. OB-PS Strategic Plan
The OB-PS Strategic Plan 2026–2029 sets out a clear commitment to strengthening support for girls and young women worldwide through its partnership with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It positions OB-PS as a key driver of sustainable funding, focused on inspiring generosity, growing long-term support, and investing in opportunities that enable girls to lead and thrive.
While its core purpose of raising funds, growing support, and recognising contributors remains unchanged, the plan emphasises increased urgency in response to global inequality and shifting challenges. The strategy outlines a structured yet flexible approach, combining long-term ambition with practical actions, and highlights the importance of collective effort across the Board, working groups, national volunteers (ACTs), and Members.
To deliver impact, the plan centres on two major goals:
1. Increasing income
2. Expanding membership
Targets include raising £2.8 million by 2029, achieving 20% membership growth to 2,410 members, enhancing donor recognition, increasing engagement and visibility by 10% annually, expanding global events, and growing the ACTs network to 56 national volunteers. These goals are supported by strategic pillars focused on growth, operational efficiency, and brand and Member engagement.
Ultimately, the plan frames success not just in financial or numerical terms, but in the real opportunities created for girls and young women, reinforcing the message that sustainable funding and collective action are essential to building a more equal world.

Project 100 Update
As we look ahead to 2028, the year WAGGGS celebrates 100 years, we’re inviting everyone in OB-PS to Think 100, as we launch our OB-PS Flagship campaign ‘Project 100’.
Together, we can make sure this centenary is not just a celebration of the past, but a powerful investment in the next 100 years of girls’ leadership and empowerment.
So, for this milestone, we want to match that spirit with something bold – a challenge that celebrates our legacy and inspires the next generation and beyond.

OB-PS Event Cambodia
The next OB-PS Event is in Cambodia, taking place in 6 weeks time from 15th -19th June. This is being held alongside the WAGGGS World Conference and will offer many opportunities to engage with the wider Movement. You can still register if you wish to attend.
