The Africa Region Committee members hold portfolios that are tailored to work on the Triennial action plan and we are looking for a group of volunteers with diverse skillsets and experiences to work on its delivery. Teams of volunteers led by the responsible Regional Committee portfolio holder will contribute to and support the delivery of the triennial action plan. The volunteer teams will report on their work to the portfolio holder. The workload of the volunteer roles will vary over the triennium, the expectation is that volunteers are able to spend around 8-16 hours per month on their role. The volunteer teams will be in place until the end of the triennium, that is the end of 2025.
What we are looking for:
- Active members in a WAGGGS Member Organisation,
- Volunteers of all ages (young people under the age of 30 are highly encouraged to apply),
- Ability to communicate in English &/or French, familiarity and ability to use tools for online collaboration,
- Passionate about contributing time and energy to the girl guiding and girl scouting movement,
- Volunteers who want to grow as leaders and take on the responsibility of being Lead volunteers.

About the role
The Region strives to continuously improve sharing of our stories, experiences, and information. The Communications team will help grow our network and audience on the various media platforms, keep our stakeholders informed as well as engage and share our Regional stories for greater impact!
What you will do:
- Create meaningful content and engaging posts across social media platforms of the WAGGGS Africa Region including Campfire
- Regularly communicate news, opportunities, and stories to all members of the Europe Region and beyond in an efficient manner.
- Develop a communication strategy to grow our network and media presence
Desired skills/previous experience in:
- Excellent written and spoken skills in French &/or English
- Experience with digital and social media
- Copywriting, Graphic design,
- Analytics, Research, Branding, Advertising

The selection of regional volunteers will be done by the regional committee.

All data collected in the recruitment will be treated as confidential and only disclosed to those involved in the selection and allocation of volunteers of the Africa Region -the Africa Region Committee. The data controller is the Africa Region Committee.
