Join Us as a Facilitator! 

We are looking for experienced facilitators from the Asia Pacific (AP) Region to join us for a transformational seminar for Leaders of Member Organisations in the context of the Regional Conference. This unique opportunity is perfect for those ready to challenge themselves and support leaders in enhancing their leadership practice as leaders of organisations in WAGGGS. 

 

Are You From the AP Region? 

The WAGGGS Core Mission Team is seeking 2 individuals from the AP Region to help manage the learning environment, co-design, and co-facilitate a 9-session Leadership Development Seminar, with an intensive programme of shared learning, personal development and networking for leaders of WAGGGS’s Member Organisations at the 15th Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Delhi, India, in August 2025. 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile: 

As an ideal candidate, you will use the WAGGGS leadership model, and facilitators’ competencies, and have: 

 

  • Passion and experience in organisational leadership development 

  • In-depth understanding of the WAGGGS Leadership Model, mindsets, and outcomes 

  • Expertise in adult learning design and methodology 

  • Knowledge and experience with the WAGGGS approach to facilitation (Brave Space, Growing and Learning, use of the GG/GS Method, etc.) 

  • Experience as an in-person facilitator within WAGGGS Regional or Global contexts for large audiences 

  • Ability, adaptability, and openness to collaborate and communicate effectively when working across cultures, being sensitive to personal and cultural dynamics of a diverse group of volunteers and staff 

  • An innovative and creative approach to inspire GG&GS leaders across the AP Region, and talent for adjusting complex content into easy-to-understand pieces using English as the working language 

  • Availability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Reliable internet connection and regular access to online working tools such as email, WhatsApp, Teams, etc. 

  • An active endorsement from your MO to the WAGGGS Volunteer Network 

  • Knowledge of and behaviour in line with WAGGGS vision and policies (e.g. WAGGGS Organisational Values, Safeguarding policy, Code of Conduct, etc.) 

  •  Experience as a past or current local or national MO board member (desired) 

 

Event Summary:  

The 15th Asia Pacific Regional Conference will be held in Delhi, India, hosting our 9-session organisational leadership seminar. Sessions will be a mixture of facilitated workshops and themed networking and working spaces. We expect around 120 participants from 26 MOs to attend the event! 

 

Seminar Participants Will: 

  • Enhance their leadership practice 

  • Develop stronger connections with peers 

  • Deepen their understanding of regional challenges and opportunities 

  • Greater their awareness of WAGGGS tools and support available for organisational leaders 

About your availability (February – September 2025): 

  • Pre-event: Starting in early February, you'll meet the planning team online, deepen your understanding about the available resources and policies, and actively participate in periodical meetings for team building, seminar planning, and preparing the participant packet, until we are ready to depart to Delhi in mid-August.  

  • Event Dates: Arrive in Delhi by the morning of Sunday, 17th August, and depart before noon on 24th August 2025. Travel, lodging, and meal costs will be covered by WAGGGS. 

  • Post-event: Within a month after the event, we will have online engagement, including meeting (via Teams) for reflections, evaluations, next steps, and wrap-up.
