Global Youth Mobilization 2.0
Young People Driving Change and Delivering on the SDGs
The Global Youth Mobilization (GYM) is an initiative of the Big Six youth organizations, born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, initially funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Foundation (UNF) through the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The success of GYM has demonstrated the power of the Big Six partnership and the power of youth when given the right opportunities and support.
For the second phase of GYM, the European Union Youth Empowerment Fund (EU-YEF) partners with the Big Six through the GYM and focuses on youth-led decision making and solutions related to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a local level, with a particular focus on environment, climate change, and the inclusion of young people in situations of vulnerability from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Youth-led Network Solutions:
If your association is in one of the eligible countries for funding by the EU, and if you are interested in increasing opportunities and capacities of young people in your country to engage in the design and implementation of inclusive initiatives related to the SDG’s, then please consider applying for the grant offered through the GYM and be part of this unique partnership.
The aim of this paper is to provide information about the project aims and objectives and outline the principles that should prevail through the design and implementation of your project, to communicate the criteria for selection for funding and to provide the space for a detailed project description.
Please read thoroughly and if you have any questions contact Rita Kihembo, WAGGGS Programme Coordinator [email protected].
Youth-led Network Solutions:

All Youth-led Network Solutions must be:
Either YOUTH CENTERED, or YOUTH LED, and/or for YOUTH BENEFICIARIES
Strategic. Projects must be related or linked to the overall aims of the GYM project and clearly linked to the MOs’ national strategy or action plan.
Achievable. The aims, milestones and indicators must be realistic with clear reasoning of how to achieve success and what that looks like.
1. Making a measurable difference. Projects should demonstrate how they will make a difference to the young people engaged and the communities that the activity seeks to support.

The project is compliant with WAGGGS Safeguarding Policy
Criteria for funding.

4. Community-based: The core activities focus on empowering young people to take an active role in achieving the SDGs in their local communities.
5. Inclusive approach: the project should have a clear outreach plan ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities to every girl and young woman. (based on age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity and/or religion).

b. That our MOs collaborate with other Big Six national entities present in their country to increase joint work at national and local level.
