International Women’s Day on 8th March is a significant moment for WAGGGS as a global Movement dedicated to empowering girls and young women to thrive, lead, and create a better world together.
As one of the chosen charity partners for International Women’s Day, we are proud to stand alongside individuals and organisations committed to accelerating action and progress toward gender equity. Together, we can break down barriers, challenge biases, and drive meaningful change to ensure girls and women everywhere can reach their full potential as equal citizens of the world.

📸 Capture a photo with the official IWD 2025 pose (see below) and share it on your social media along with a message about #AccelerateAction.
This call to Accelerate Action emphasises the need for swift, decisive steps towards gender equality. It highlights the urgency of addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both personally and professionally.
We encourage everyone to wear their Girl Guide or Girl Scout uniform or scarf when taking part. If you are posting on behalf of your Membership Organisation, please ensure you have obtained the necessary consent and permissions from all individuals featured in your photos or videos.
