About the WAGGGS People Committee

The WAGGGS People Committee is a new sub-committee of the WAGGGS World Board (Board of trustees) that has just recently been established.  Its main purpose is to provide oversight and strategic direction to WAGGGS, in relation to strategic priorities, policy and practice regarding the WAGGGS global team of staff and volunteers based all over the world.

The remit of the committee is wide-ranging and committee members have an opportunity to directly influence and support the development and performance of staff and volunteers within WAGGGS, at global and regional levels. This includes strategic human resource and organisational development issues, organisational values and culture, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), safeguarding, thanks and recognition/awards for volunteers and staff and staff reward and remuneration, including for the WAGGGS Chief Executive.

More information about the committee can be found in the committee terms of reference

Role description

We are looking for a young member (aged under 30 at the time of appointment) from one of WAGGGS’ member organisations to serve on the committee for an initial term of office from September 2022 until December 2023, with the possibility of an extension after this time.
