We are very excited to announce an incredible highlight for the 2025 OB-PS event! After our unforgettable visit in 2005 for the OB-PS event, we are revisiting the magnificent Presidential Palace in Nicosia as part of this year’s celebrations.
What makes this even more special? OB-PS Members and guests have been invited by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, to a prestigious dinner at the Presidential Palace on Friday evening. This invitation is a tremendous honor and will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable moments of the entire event!

The Girl Guides Association of Cyprus warmly welcomed 180 OB-PS members and guests to a spectacularly beautiful location in Cyprus for the 2005 global event – the 2nd largest up to that time.
The venue, the Aphrodite Hills Hotel near Paphos, was located opposite the place where Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, was born.
As noted by the host team, “Our island, which is located in the middle of three continents – Europe, Asia and Africa – has absorbed and developed during its long history, remarkable civilizations.” The ability to experience the amazing culture of Cyprus was a highlight for all the participants.
Members of the Girl Guides Association of Cyprus assisted in every aspect of the event. Guides of all ages lined up to welcome HRH Princess Benedikte at the airport and all participants at the Presidential Palace. 
A highly memorable Presentation Ceremony was held in the beautiful grounds of the Presidential Palace, accompanied by harmonious Greek music. Sixteen members received their certificates and pins from HRH Princess Benedikte.
