Leadership at WAGGGS: A Shared Journey of Growth and Impact

The Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement has been empowering girls and women as leaders for over 100 years. Your gift for WAGGGS Giving Day enables WAGGGS to continue supporting this vast network of young women to become leaders in their own live and communities.

From the moment a child promises to “do their best”, they step into a values-based leadership development journey that nurtures and celebrates who they are, and what they can bring to the world around them. At WAGGGS, we believe leadership is not a title—it's a shared journey. It’s about growing together, learning from one another, and creating positive change in our own lives, in our communities, and across society.

A great leader is a lifelong learner—someone who seeks to understand different perspectives, draws wisdom from diverse experiences, and works collaboratively to make a meaningful difference.

To help support WAGGGS community of leaders, the WAGGGS Leadership Network has been developed through Campfire. This is an online space to actively support girls and young women’s leadership journey.

There is an abundance of leadership resources, including the Girl Guide and Girl Scout Leadership Model. Young women have the opportunity to share share their  leadership stories, and reflect on their conscious practice. As well as engage in discussions on how best to practice leadership, support each other, and collaborate globally on innovative leadership tools and approaches.

This online network fosters global citizenship, cross-cultural understanding, and intergenerational support to build a community where leadership is a shared journey, and global competencies and international friendships are developed.
