1.Name
The name of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (the CIO) is the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
2. National location of principal office
The CIO must have a principal office in England or Wales. The principal office of WAGGGS is in England.
3. Objects
The object of WAGGGS is to further the aims of the Girl Guide/Girl Scout Movement by providing girls and young women with opportunities for self development through leadership, responsible citizenship and service in their own and world communities. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of WAGGGS for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
