Should I name myself for the EGM Session?
We ask all attendees to rename yourself so it is easier for WAGGGS Staff and the Procedural team to identify people. We ask that you rename yourself with the following format Role_3 letter country code_Full name. For example HD_GBR_Georgina Anstee. You can find the list of the 3 letter country codes here.

  • If you are attending as a Head Delegate, please rename yourself as HD_3 letter country code_Full name
  • If you are attending as a Delegate, please rename yourself DEL_3 letter countrycode_Full name.
  • If you are attending as an Observer, please rename yourself as OBS_3 letter country code_Full name.
  • If you are attending as a Guest, please rename yourself as Guest_Full name.

Can I speak during the session?
You can use the Zoom chat at the beginning of the session to say hello and to talk to other participants. Once the session starts, we will reserve the Zoom chat for asking procedural and EGM questions.

If you or any of your delegation need any technical support, you can directly message the Tech Team volunteers. The names of the Tech team will be provided closer to the EGM.

During discussion sessions, the Chair will invite participants to speak. If you are a Head Delegate or a Delegate and want to request to speak, you will need to click on the raise hand icon.

Once invited to speak and before you speak, please state your name, EGM role (e.g. Head Delegate) and MO (e.g. Bharat Scouts and Guides, India).

Can I speak if I am an Observer?
Observers may speak only if their Head Delegate requests this and if approved by the EGM/Session Chair. If an Observer raises their hand to request to speak during a discussion session the Procedural Team will seek confirmation from their Head Delegate that they can speak on behalf of their Member Organisation.

How can I ask procedural questions?
During a session, you can use the Zoom chat to ask a procedural question. You can write in any of the four WAGGGS official languages.

How do we change voting rights from Head Delegate to Delegate?
If your Head Delegate is unable to attend the voting session, your Member Organisation’s (MO) voting rights need to be passed on to the Delegate before the voting session has started, otherwise your MO will not be able to cast votes during that session. Please notify [email protected] no later than 13:20 UTC on 14 September 2024 with the change of the Head Delegate.

The voting rights will be passed on to the registered Delegate who will receive an email with personal details for voting (login and password).

No changes to your MO’s Head Delegate can be done during a session.
