We are pleased to share with you World Conference Circular 7. 

Candidates for the World Board 2023-2029 

We are pleased to announce the names of the 16 candidates standing for election to the World Board at the 38th World Conference: Candidates for the World Board, 2023-2029 

The election booklet, giving further details about each candidate, will be circulated on 26 April. On this date, Member Organisations will also be able to view information about each candidate, and connect directly with them, on Campfire. 

Delivering upon Motion 25 passed at the World Conference in 2021, WAGGGS will be organising a number of online ‘Meet the Candidate’ sessions to enable Member Organisations to get to know the candidates better and ask questions ahead of the World Conference. Each session will feature 5-6 different candidates. Please save the dates below in your calendar: 

  • Meet the Candidates – Session 1: Saturday 10 June at 11am UTC 
  • Meet the Candidates – Session 2: Saturday 17 June at 1pm UTC 
  • Meet the Candidates – Session 3: Saturday 24 June at 1pm UTC 

Interpretation in all four WAGGGS official languages will be available in each session. Further details about the sessions will be shared in the next circular. 

Proposed Motions and Call for Proposed Amendments

We invite Member Organisations to review the Proposed Motion. If you would like to propose an amendment to this Proposed Motion, please complete the Proposed Amendment form and return it by email to [email protected] by 23.59pm (UTC) on Sunday 30 April 2023. 

Programme 

We are pleased to share with you the first outline of the conference programme to help you plan your participation in the World Conference. A detailed programme and agenda will be shared on 26 May 2023.
